During her 5 years as a Hospital Corpsman, she was awarded three Naval Achievement Medals (NAM), Sailor of the Year, Sailor of multiple quarters, and won many other high honors. While serving Freesia maintained and operated the Medical Administration department of her Naval Ship, the USS Arlington (LPD 24) as well as Naval Hospital Portsmouth. She achieved the first Blue H, Surgeon General’s Health Promotion and Wellness award, and the Green H, Force Health, and Wellness award for her Naval ship during her deployment from 2014-2015.
Freesia honorably separated from the Navy due to her family growth and the demand of her husband’s naval career.
