News: Teenage pedestrian struck by car, seriously injured

SAN DIEGO, CA – A 17-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after he was struck by a car in a Otay Mesa West intersection on Monday morning.

According to Fox 5 San Diego, the victim was struck as he attempted to run across an intersection on the 800 block of Picador Boulevard aorund 8 a.m.

He was hit by a 2012 Hyundai Elantra travelling south. His injuries are serious but not life-threatening and include a fracture to his leg.

The crash remains under investigation.
